If you’re like me, you love getting away with your gal pals. But where to go? These five ideas will get your wanderlust heart dreaming!
1. Get Pampered in Cancun

With something for everyone, this destination hosts luxurious room options, local historical sites like Chichen Itza, rich local artisan crafts and wares and is abundant in wildlife including sea turtles, koaty, crocodiles, snakes and even iguanas (though I’ve only actually seen 4 out of 5 of those, even though crocodiles hung out in the mangroves just opposite our last resort).
2. Sail the Greek Islands
Grab 7 of your closest gal pals and head out to sail around the Greek Islands by chartering a yacht through companies like G Adventures. That’s right! Crystal clear waters, Mediterranean food and a captain who knows all the best nooks and crannies to visit along the island’s coasts.
3. Party it up in New Orleans
Quirky, vibrant, energetic, and a world unlike any other, why not visit the heart of Louisiana in New Orleans. Cajun cooking, Beignets, a bigger than life attitude and a music scene that just won’t quite, New Orleans has a little something for everyone. While you’re down there, consider a swamp tour by air boat to see some of the local...inhabitants...in their natural surroundings or maybe a visit to one of the Plantation sites to learn about slavery in the South.
4. Christmas Market River Cruise
