St. Finbarr Cathedral in Cork Ireland is one of my favourite religious sites in the world - partly due to it being my place of worship when I lived in Cork.  But the other part is that it is an absolutely lovely space.  Completed in 1879, the cathedral is Gothic revival in style and is named after the patron saint of the city.  The resurrection angel, a copper statue on the roof of building, is one of the most iconic elements.  It's said that the trumpet of the angel will sound to warn the people of Cork of the end of the world.
